⬦ Welcome to Felicia Kutina Art
Here you will find original acrylic artwork created by myself, Felicia Kutina, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I specialize in painting mandalas and animals. I love that mandalas represent wholeness, unity and are meditative to create. Animals are precious souls full of wonder, that I love, and enjoy painting.
This summer, I had five ocean themed acrylic paintings at the Waves of Hope: Whispers from the Deep art exhibit at the D’art Gallery in Denver, CO from June 19th – July 13th 2025. It was a free and an enlightening experience that brought awareness to things we can do here in Colorado to help the oceans and also captivated the beauty of the oceans through artwork.
One big thing we can do to make a difference to the oceans is to choose sunscreens that aren’t full of petrochemicals such as oxybenzone and instead choose sunscreen with zinc oxide. The chemicals oxybenzone and octinoxate, are harming the coral reefs, especially in Hawaii. One drop of oxybenzone can pollute 6.5 Olympic sized swimming pools! 28 million pounds of sunscreen end up in the ocean and this does so much harm to the coral reefs and all of the creatures that rely on them; twenty five percent of marine life. So choose zinc oxide/reef safe sunscreen if possible!
Two of the first paintings pictured here were for sale and the sea turtle and dolphin paintings sold. I made prints of my artwork and sold many! I also crocheted an 18 inch long Jellyfish out of plastic that hung in the immersive space.
In the near future I plan on having an online shop on this website with prints and original paintings for sale, so keep a look out! I’m also accepting commissions, so please get in touch with me if interested! Thanks for visiting, I hope you have an awesome day!
