Hello! My name is Felicia Kutina.

I’m a Colorado-based acrylic artist inspired by animals, nature and the sacred geometry of mandalas. My artwork explores the beauty and spirit of wildlife and I enjoy capturing their energy through color and symbolic design.

My artwork is deeply inspired by everyday encounters with the natural world—from the thrill of spotting wildlife on a trail run to the quiet serenity of the mountains and the restorative time I spend by the water. This close connection to the earth shapes my joyful, peaceful illustrative style. Believing that each animal possesses a unique soul, my ultimate goal is to translate their vibrant spirit and sacred energy into my paintings.

In 2025, I exhibited five ocean-inspired paintings in Waves of Hope: Whispers from the Deep at D’Art Gallery in Denver, where three originals were collected along with many prints.

I began creating mandalas in 2016 while pregnant with my first daughter, first working in watercolor and ink and now with acrylics. Painting has since become a deeply meditative, fun and healing practice and I create from a place of intention and meaning.

A Colorado native from Longmont, I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Utah after starting at CU Boulder. I now live in Colorado Springs with my husband, our two daughters and three cats. Living near the mountains and encountering wildlife on my runs, like deer, foxes, and coyotes, continues to inspire my work.

When I’m not painting, I enjoy trail running, skiing, boating, swimming and kayaking at Lake Pueblo and traveling to unique and beautiful places with my family. I also love studying astrology, listening to music and creating gemstone jewelry. As a runner, the hardest run I’ve tackled was the Royal Gorge Rim to Rim Trail Half Marathon, on my birthday, which featured a tough 2,307 ft elevation gain!

Kayaking and swimming at Lake Pueblo.
Exploring the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. Amazing snorkeling, the “Washing Machine” and we saw green sea turtles here!

Thank you for sharing in my journey. I hope my art brings a lasting sense of beauty, wonder, and peace.
